The word of the householder
« In the 1950s our farm belonged to the artist painter Roger Bezombes. We have kept the multi-coloured mosaic which he created and the current decor of the farmhouse draws inspiration from it. The result: an original, colourful, quirky, astounding place! »

Description of the establishment
L’Amarine, in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, once belonged to the painter Roger Bezombes, a friend of Gauguin. This authentic 17th century residence, with its light-filled areas, fringed by centuries-old oak and nettle trees, has an unmistakable artistic feel. The gardens are dotted with ponds, low walls and terraces that create skilfully crafted wild plots. A pool and massage room located in the former pigeon loft offer a delightful way to relax and unwind. Uncompromising on quality, chef Bernard serves southern cuisine, prepared exclusively with regional, seasonable produce.

Restaurant Mas de l'Amarine

A distinctive residence with a tasteful restaurant, L’Amarine was owned by the artist Roger Bezombes in the 1950s. One of his mosaics can still be admired on the floor of the dining room. Chef Bernard is keen to share the flavours of the south with his guests, as his generous portions of honest, warm Provençal cooking reveal. Each dish is like a story simply waiting to be told.
