The origins of Ponsay Manor, a listed building, can be traced back to the 15th century. The building has belonged to the same family since 1644 and it is now the 12th generation that is maintaining the tradition of welcoming guests in a warm but simple manner. Large rooms some of which have four-poster beds, candlelit dinner and a touch of History all help enhance the "château life" experience. Louis XI stayed in the manor when hunting in the area. Perhaps you'll be staying in his room. The particular charm of this tradition-filled building and its large park with swimming pool is especially appreciated.
